THE MOVEMENT 

I approach working with the body in motion from a functional view inspired by rehabilitative Physical Therapy. I use the Pilates method, choreography and philosophy to aid the body in the re-education process back towards optimal alignment. I call on self-massage techniques (the MELT method) to help hydrate and promote circulation to return to restricted areas that are causing discomfort and pain. In a session I will tailor the hour to your needs for that particular week. Depending on what your goals for movement are we will focus on either hands-on body work, Pilates movement & flow or a combination of both. I often send my students home with homework. Creating a regular maintenance program is essential to creating positive movement patterns and keeping them. I share my anatomical education through creative imagery and relatable storytelling. I view myself and my students as ever evolving art pieces!
